Did I ever tell you about how I discovered Half-life? I was on a weekend code marathon for my final year project in uni. At about lunch time I decided to take a break, and went scouting around the lab computer I was using. There was a folder called halflife, with an executable in it….

6 hours later I dizzily wandered out of the lab vaguely aware of a need for food, and to sit down in a quiet place where the vortigaunts couldn’t get me.

It’s one of my ultimate formative games of all time in the world ever, that’s for sure. Strange thing is, I rate HL2 as highly. That usually never happens for sequels.
