Where do you go to my lovely….?

Where do I go to when I am not blogging? Some times even I don’t know. I am a mum. A wife. I work. I sleep (a lot). I shop (a lot). I’m a member of a Star Wars costuming group. It seems every day I have something else on, and when life throws a little more into the mix, things can get hectic. I really should spend more time with my friends, but I always feel like I simply haven’t the energy to see them all, or the money to do anything other than sitting in the house and chatting with them.

And so, because of all these other things, my blog has had to take the very very last seat on the bus. Its lucky that there was even a seat there at all. I still haven’t found my footing in the blogosphere, so I think I will try to make a bit more form in what I will post.

I’m thinking of the following themes

Favourites: make-up, shoes, clothes, pictures, songs, movies, anything really. These change with me every week. So I will try to write a post on each of these topics.

Outfits: I really should do this every day, and I will certainly try.

Shopping: what I’ve bought, what I want, and what I cant afford.

What irks me: I like to complain. It probably should be mentioned in my list of what I do all week, cos I probably do it more than I sleep. I know Mr Heels would think so, anyway!

Life in general: This will probably be ramblings that wont mean anything to anyone else, but sometimes you just need to get things off your chest.

That’s all I can think of right now, and I probably wont stick to these, but I will try. To quote from Peter Sarstedt’s song,

But where do you go to my lovely
When you’re alone in your bed
Tell me the thoughts that surround you
I want to look inside your head

Hope you keep reading :)

The one with the firemen….

Yesterday was Car Boot Sale day.  And it was fun! I picked up these.

The books were 3 for £1, and the Bad Cat one is like LOL Cats, its so cute! I love the necklace, £12 and hand made locally by a lovely lady, who calls the brand The Clock And The Cat. Adorable! Each piece is individual, and amazing quality, such a pity she doesn’t sell online.

The highlight of the day was the fire men. What is it about a man in rubber that makes women go weak at the knees? They even had their big tools out! Of course I am talking about the Jaws of Life (yes they really are called that!) and a pneumatic cutting claw. I have such total respect for the men and women in the fire service, as I know I could never manage what they do.

However, it was these two firemen that I took home with me!

Of course, I did the whole day in heels! Sometimes I dont know why either….. but they are new, and I hadn’t had a chance to wear them yet! But I am pleased to say, after a short walk there and back, and 1.5hrs dandering around, they were super comfy. From Clothing at Tesco £18, but I had 30% off! Absolute bargain.

Wordless Wednesday….. sort of

Le sigh. It may not be Wednesday, but I’m certainly speechless about these Louboutins.

What I’ve Been Up To

Oh life in my little head has been so hectic!! It seems I haven’t stopped running for the past month! Between bouts of feeling sicky (possible IBS, booo) and working, and also just trying to have some Me Time, I’ve not found any time for blogging!!

I did have time to go back and get another mint green Barry M nail polish, and a silver eyeliner which I haven’t been able to find since the day I bought it! Bought a fabulous dress in Oasis sale, and some over the knee socks that are quite fun and flirty to wear.

Halloween is this weekend, and I have my devils costume ready to go! I was considering stockings with it, but the ladies on Twitter convinced me to rethink that!  Thanks Super Modesty Woman! x

I’m currently refreshing an Ebay listing on a pair of shoes, finishing at 7.38pm, 24 mins away, so I figured I had to do a spot of blogging for a change!  Wish me luck, mamma wants a new pair of shoes!!

I have been reading this AMAZING halloween post by Retro Chick.  I love every single piece of footwear in this post, its really not helping my cravings for some serious goth boots.  I may have to keep my eye out for some going cheap on ebay……!

I Hate It When….

I get irked by things. A lot, it seems. So it was only fitting to have an entire label on my blog dedicated to things that get my back up. Todays is:

I hate it when you get an email from a shop,
and the models are wearing the most fabulous heels, but when you check the website,
the shoes are not for sale.

Yes River Island I am talking to you.

This morning, I felt a little under the weather, so when the River Island email popped up on my screen, I had a wee look at it, to cheer myself up. And that is when I saw them.

Ignore, if you can, that rather nice LBD, and take a look at the shoes.  Fierce, strappy, studded, towering heel, they’ve got it all.  But can I get them? No. Admittedly River Island are selling some really fabulous shoes at the moment, and maybe these will be coming into stock soon, but then why show them on the email that they are presumably sending to thousands of shoe hungry ladies, like myself? Its like torture, physiological warfare, a conspiracy to get all the women of the land pining after a pair of shoes they cant have. In fact, I’m sure it must be against some advertising laws, they should state that the shoes are not available on their email.

So get it sorted,  River Island! You are selling loads of shoes, surely another pair must suit that dress too!! Stop showing me what I cant have!
