Keeping Readers Pinterested
I’ve updated my little sharing buttons down there

to include Pinterest, so if you are on there, and like the post, please share it with the world, and make me famous, and rich, and stuff! M’kay?
ASOS: Under £25
Its nice to see retailers releasing a cheaper range of shoes for a change. I know I haven’t a lot to spend on fancy stuff each month, but yet, annoying still have the desire to treat myself! Shops are still closing left right and centre, from the cheaper ranges like Peacocks, to high end stores too, and ASOS are the first I’ve noticed to address this lack of quality, yet affordable, complete online shop.
I was very surprised to see heels like Petal for only £18, and thats not even reduced prices!! Similar styles would sell in Aldo for £60+. They are definitely first on my ‘to buy’ list.
Black courts go with *everything*. They are perfect with bold coloured dresses, and for office wear too, and at this price, you really have no excuse for not having shoes to match your outfit!! The pointed toes are not for everyone, and I think rounded toes suit larger foot sizes.
Polka dot heels. Perfect for a rockabilly hint to any outfit, even a pair of jeans!
If I actually wore flats…… I’d wear these. Ladybug is what I call ladybirds. It drives Mr Heels up the wall. As does me calling ceilings roofs, but that’s another story….
Very cute, would have been perfect for Valentine’s day dates. Not that I’m implying you should have had more than one, unless you are like me, and manage to stretch every public holiday and occasion out for an indefinite length of time. My August birthday starts about now-ish.
Fab. Can say no more.
These are great. I’m loving all things stripy at the moment, and these are no exception. Now to find the heeled version!
I broked my foot!
Ok so no bones are actually broken, but I have not been able to feel two of my toes properly since Friday evening, after spending the day pulling poses whilst wearing ridiculously kinky PVC boots.
Yes, I do have some strange hobbies……
There’s some feeling back in them now, but I still have a pain in my ankle, so I’m trying to rest up. Its hard picking which shoes will hurt least.
And I haven’t even had a chance to break in my new Irregular Choice heels yet either! Booo
Life is one Big Canvas
The pesky Chloe from Lifes Big Canvas sent me some things to review on the blog. Its my first time doing this, as although I’ve previously reviewed items, its always been at my own expense. I have to say, I hope its just the first of many, as the surprise opening the box was better than Christmas!
I’m a champion of smaller online sellers, and my eclectic style is very often purchased from ‘Indie’ sellers. I appreciate their personal touches, the contact, genuine appreciation, and individuality of their wares. Chloe’s gems are no exception, being hand made from recycled materials, they are sweet, unusual and above all, loads of fun!
This Paper Bow necklace is created using a vintage story book (which I’ve been trying to read, its about bunnies, and blackbirds collecting bracken, so sweet!) and strung on a gold-effect chain. Its then varnished, to make it stiff and durable. Red wire around the centre of the bow, and a wee red bead finish it off. I adore the heart-shaped clasp, too many sellers have cheap crocodile clasps that break/are broken when they arrive, so not only is this a welcome change, its just another wee personal touch that makes this such a wonderful shop.
The necklace retails at £20, although this medium size isn’t listed at the moment online, cos I got the only one, the large paper bow, measuring a fabulous 7in wide is available for £25. You can also get a brooch and a hair clip finished with lace in this style, which are very very cute.
Heres a quick pic to show the size of this necklace, about 5″. The large one would be epic.

Boooooooooobs (well someone had to say it)
Chloe was also kind enough to send me a handmade brooch, made from natural hessian, thin copper sheeting, and decorated gold and purple. I love it. It looks handmade, which is why I love it so much, it reminds me of the homemade corsage my nanny made herself for my wedding, wrapping flowers from her own garden in tinfoil, and pinning to her lapel. She genuinely would have loved this.

Perfect for surprising someone with something original
But the absolute best part is the presentation. You don’t only get a brooch for five of your pounds, you get a pretty present, on lace trimmed purple card, with a beautiful extract from a book. This is the nicest touch! Though I wish the price wasn’t written on the card, as I imagine this will be a keepsake for some!
I’ve already purchased more from Chloe’s ebay shop, and know items will be featuring heavily on my wishlist! I have my eyes on the Harry Potter themed charm bracelet, and the Mix Tape ring. Also this Geeky Glasses necklace, decorated with fruity fimo nail decals! Genius! And if you are lucky enough to live in the Leeds area, you can call into the Life’s Big Canvas shop, First Floor, Birds Yard, 83 Kirkgate, Leeds. Make sure and tell them In These Heels sent you!
Irregular Choice Picks
The crazier the better is a mantra I generally go by when it comes to accessories. So its no surprise that Irregular Choice is one of my favourite brands. Here are my picks from the current stock on site.
