Silly Twats

Twitter is a strange land. You think you know someone. Then there’s a fight. There’s unfollows, and someone leaves, and theres a few silly bitchy comments about them then *poof* its like they were never there. But they still exist, out there somewhere. You can email them, but then you realise actually maybe they don’t want to continue a friendship, on any level with you. They may well slope back to Twitter under a different guise in the future, but I wont hold my breath waiting for a request. Worst of all though, are the ‘friends’ who still follow, but obviously don’t give a shit what you talk about, or how you feel.

Well you know what? Its their loss.

For some Twitter is a joke, its a place to be someone better, funnier, or ruder than you are in real life. I’m just me. I’m not out to play games with people, or send dirty DM’s, its just my random thoughts, that would flood this blog if I put each and every one on here!

Rant over, please proceed as normal.

Edit: BTW, its not about who you think it is, honestly. It was a long term follower who decided to ditch me. His loss.

I LOVE twitter, i LOVE tweeting, but i agree with you about people tryna be something they are not. As soon as you send me a dirty DM? You’re blocked. As soon as you say something stupid, which i know isn’t true IRL cos, erm, Bangor is a small place,(uhuh) you’re blocked. It’s wild sad that people can’t just have fun, especially at this age. I can’t stand the silly playground antics either, but as i said to you before, it’s not going to stop me tweeting :)

ps, you wouldn’t BELIEVE the husbands i could name you that have sent me dirt DM’s, with their wives on twitter and EVERYTHING. Ugh, I can’t help think, if they are doing it to me, they are probably doing it to the other 600 girls on their followers list. Stinking. BLOCKED! Lol :)

hahaha, you have got to email me with those details ;)
Theres no one person this was intended too. Its an amalgamation of the last 2 years on twitter. Some peeps I will miss. Others not so much ;)

i’ve been noticing that for a while and it’s been grinding my gears. But then i’ve seen the beauty of twitter and people rallying round to support a few folk going through the mill. It’s really warmed my heart with the kindness and generosity some people show.

I’ve been thinking bout it all week, so much so i blogged. I haven’t posted it yet (in large part to the fact i don’t have a blog set up :D ) but yea…you just gotta discern from the creeps…in the same way you would in work/RL.

At least you’re honest about it. x

Ooooh you have to blog! Its so cathartic. and narcissist…. lol!
There is a LOT going on on twitter right now. Some sad, some happy, some babies. Its so easy to tell twitter your problems, and get such a range of advise back. It can help you see things from a different perspective. And it can do wonders for your social life ;)

Suppose the beauty of being followed by those you don’t need to follow back is where Twitter is unique, and vice-versa, for them.

Arguments should be carried out in person, however. Twitter is not the medium for this.

    • Emma says:

Twitter is so unique in a lot of ways. I’m not sure people know exactly how to use it yet. The simple follow/unfollow should be kept simple. follow only those you are interested in, and unfollow should be it. I dont follow people who don’t follow me for the simple reason that I have protected tweets, and if I were to tweet at them in response to something, they wouldn’t see it. Pointless. And yes, I dont get into arguments on there, sometimes the tweeted word can hurt more than the sword.
